Today, the Sanno 5th graders had a special English lesson! They talked with 5th graders from Tsukuba Mirai City on the computer. The students said, “Hello!” and introduced themselves in English.
They asked simple questions, such as, “Can you play soccer?” and “Can you swim fast?” The students tried to find friends who liked the same things.
At first, many students were nervous. They talked to new people and used English. After the lesson, some students said they want to try an online English conversation again.
Good job, 5th graders! It was a unique challenge!
今日、山王小学校の5年生が特別な英語の授業を行いました！コンピューターを使って、つくばみらい市の5年生と交流しました。子どもたちは「Hello!」と元気にあいさつを交わし、英語で自己紹介をしました。
「Can you play soccer?（サッカーはできますか？）」や「Can you swim fast?（速く泳げますか？）」といった簡単な質問を投げかけ、自分と同じものが好きな友達を見つけようと一生懸命になっていました。
最初は緊張している様子の子どもたちも多く、初めて会う相手に緊張しながらも英語で話しかけていました。授業が終わると、「またオンライン英会話に挑戦してみたい！」と話してくれる児童もいました。
5年生のみなさん、よく頑張りましたね！素晴らしい挑戦でした！
