Recently, the 6th graders are studying about animals and the trouble the animals have. For example, sea turtles have trouble with plastic. Penguins have trouble with global warming. While foxes sometimes have trouble with being hunted.

The 6th graders chose what animal they want to protect and made protest signs to send a message about saving different animals! Today, they joined their first protest demonstration activity. The 6th graders tried hard to make easy and catchy chants in English! Students shouted "Save the penguins," "Stop hunting frogs!", "No more plastic" and so on while holding up their protest signs. After a long day, they had energy to protest for their favorite animals! Good work!

　ここ最近の６年生の英語の授業では、

　動物にとって問題となっていることについて学習しています。

　内容は、ウミガメがプラスティック製品で困っていたり、

　ペンギンが地球温暖化で困っていたりすることなどです。

　今日は、反対活動に参加することを体験しました。

　そのために、簡単で覚えやすいフレーズ、

　"Save the penguins.!" （ペンギンを救おう！）

    "Stop hunting frogs!"　（カエルを捕まえるのを止めよう！）

    "No more plastics!"　（もうプラスティックはいらない！）などを考えだしました。

　長い時間を終えて、

　６年キッズは、隊好きな動物を守ろうとする気持ちにあふれていました。
